TMJD, or temporomandibular joint disorder, is a condition that affects the joint that connects the jawbone to the skull. TMJD can cause a range of symptoms, including pain and discomfort in the jaw, face, neck, and shoulders. The disorder can also cause headaches, ear pain, and difficulty opening and closing the mouth.
TMJD can affect pain in several ways. For example:
A TMJD treatment is included in a New Patient - Chiropractic visit
Your first visit will include a full exam, including a jaw movement measurements and a full spine and jaw adjustment, as well as myofascial release of the jaw muscles.
A fully body massage and/or laser therapy can be added on as a co- treatments as needed, depending on availability.
